Kaitlin Sherlaw is the founder of Curious Pandas Supportive Learning. As a child, Kaitlin grew up with a younger brother that needed extra support. While supporting her brother, Kaitlin learned patience, understanding and compassion from a young age. When Kaitlin became older, she found herself very interested in supporting children with autism. It felt as though the years supporting her brother had prepared her for a position in this field. So, she got a job as a behaviour interventionist/support provider. Kaitlin found she had the skills, values and beliefs needed to work in this field. She could be fun and supportive while learning many new ways to enhance a child's individual development, and it felt so good to support so many people with her newfound knowledge! Five years passed, and Kaitlin became certified through experience and education in early childhood development.
Curious Pandas Supportive Learning was born!
Kaitlin Sherlaw introduced her husband Matthew into the Autism Support industry when she supported children in their home. With permission from the parents, Matthew practiced his caretaking skills under Kaitlin's supervision. During this time, Kaitlin and Matthew quickly realized that the gentle, male energy that Matthew naturally provided supported the children in a much-needed way.
Kaitlin and Matthew now work together as a team, going to workshops and weekend courses to ensure their skills are refreshed to the best of their abilities. With Kaitlin's knowledge, gentle care and sunny disposition and Matthew's kind and adaptable nature, Kaitlin and Matthew make a great team.
