Partnering with Self-Design allows us to support children as they work towards their educational goals, while maintaining an adaptable, creative and unique approach that is tailored to each individual child.

Our after-school program is currently a mobile program. We pick each child up from the school they are enrolled in, then we spend our time within the community, going to various parks, playgrounds and beaches, while practicing social skills, emotional regulation strategies, hygiene practice, creative development, fine motor skills and gross motor skills. After our after-school social session, we bring the children back to their homes.

We are happy to work with parents and various support providers from a child's team, to speak about what practices would best benefit their child.

If you have safety concerns about your child's behaviours and your family is not yet in contact with a Behaviour Consultant, we will work to the best of our abilities to create a safety plan that works for you and your family. 

If your family is connected with a Behaviour Consultant, Curious Pandas will happily communicate with them to follow a behaviour intervention plan they provide.

Our spring and summer programs are adaptable, inclusive and supportive!

This year our spring and summer camps are completely mobile! While adventuring Nanaimo's parks, playgrounds and beaches, we will be working on understanding social aspects and supporting the progress of emotional regulation strategies.
