Meet the Panda Team
Ms. Kait - Director/ECE-IT
Hi! I’m Kaitlin Sherlaw, the founder and director of Curious Pandas Supportive Learning Inc. I created this program with a heartfelt belief that every child deserves to feel safe, seen, supported, and celebrated.
With years of experience working with young children and their families, I bring a thoughtful and compassionate approach to early learning that prioritizes kindness, connection, emotional well-being, and play-based exploration.
Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophies and nature-based learning, I am committed to creating a warm and nurturing environment where children can grow with confidence, build meaningful relationships, and learn through curiosity and play.
My hope is that families feel supported, children feel a strong sense of belonging, and each child is encouraged to grow at their own unique pace.
Ms. Mong - Lead ECE-IT
Hello! I’m Mong Li. I’m originally from Taiwan, where I taught music lessons to children. For the past three years I’ve been here supporting children in the early childhood education field. I hold an Early Childhood Education diploma from Vancouver Island University, with certificates in Infant & Toddler Care and Special Needs Education.
I support children’s development through active play, life skills, and healthy eating. I use nature walks and outdoor games to develop gross motor skills, encourage tidying and organizing to build independence, and maintain routine mealtimes with whole-food modelling to foster a positive relationship with food. My goal is to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
Outside of work, I prioritize health and well‑being: I enjoy weight training, Pilates, yoga, hiking, walking, and kayaking, and I value healthy eating as part of a balanced lifestyle.
Ms. Janny - ECE
Hello! My name is Janny, and I’m excited to be part of the Curious Pandas team. I recently completed my Early Childhood Education diploma at Vancouver Island University. I enjoy supporting children’s learning through play, creativity, and exploration. I especially love art activities, outdoor experiences, and learning alongside children as they discover the world around them.
Before moving to Canada, I worked as an art teacher and ran my own pottery studio for many years. Creativity has always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy sharing that passion with children.
I am also a mother of two young children, which has given me valuable experience and a deeper understanding of children’s growth and development.
In my free time, I enjoy pottery, traveling, and spending time with my family. I love exploring nature and appreciating the beauty of everyday life, which inspires my curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.
I look forward to getting to know your children and learning alongside them.
